Tubing

この冬は結構暖かくて、雪も少なく楽をさせてもらっているのですが、なぜか雪を見に行こうという流れになり（人間って贅沢だ）わざわざ１時間半もドライブしてスキー場に。けのはチューブ滑りに挑戦しました。すごく楽しんでいて、わたしもうれしかったです。まだチューブ滑りには早すぎる下の二人にとっては寒すぎた様子ですが。
It has been warm this winter. We don't have much snow. I like it, but somehow we miss snow too. Just a little, so we decided to go and see snow. Ken tried tubing. It was freezing cold but he had so much fun! I'm most happy to see him trying new thing and enjoying. I was going to play with snow with little ones that can't go tubing yet, but apparently it was too cold for them. They chose to stay inside. Maybe next time.

あけましておめでとうございます 2016

今年も静かなお正月でした。信ちゃんは朝一で釣りの年パスを買ってけのと釣りへ。マムはもちをついてお雑煮を作りました。お昼はゆりがダディとお散歩。夜はだいきがダディに付き合って映画館へ。静かに寝ていたそう。子どもたちは気持ちも新たに、ということで新しい服をひいおばあちゃんに買ってもらいました。二日はマムは神殿に連れて行ってもらいました♡よい一年になりそうです。
We had a good start of happy new year. Shin bought a fishing year pass and went fishing with Ken for the first thing in the morning. After that, he took Yuri for a walk, then took Dai to movie. He slept very well there. I made mochi and one of traditional Japanese new year dish with it. Kids loved it. Ah Zhou gave children for new clothing to celebrate new year. I went to the temple next day. I can feel the best year is just started!

My house

クリスマスは終わったばかりだけど、、ついに家を買った♡５ドルで！うーん、これを中古サイトで見つけたときの興奮といったら！子どものときはずーーーっとプラスチックの小さなこえだちゃんで遊んでいたのでゆりも買ってあげたいなーと思っていたのです。中もよくできていて、マムが遊びたい！という感じです。ゆりも気に入ってくれたみたいでよかった！早めの誕生日プレゼントということで。。横のブレている写真はけのとゆりが仲良くテレビ見ているところ。すごい笑顔！
I know Christmas is over, but I found this super cute house on craigslist! It was only 5 dollar and I couldn't resist. It's birthday present for Yuri, right. I used to play with this kind of plastic house and dolls when I was little. I love house. I dream to have our own house one day. At least I got a small one for now:)

Snow

今年も終わりになって駆け込みの初雪でした。子どもたちが大喜びで遊びました。最後は寒くて下の子たちは中から見てたけど。だいのクレヨンみたいな姿がかわいすぎた♡
Finally snowed! Ken was praying for it. He was super excited to play. Little two thought it was too cold in the end, so they were watching Ken from inside.

Christmas

楽しいクリスマスでした。朝はプレゼント！今年は親もしっかりプレゼントをもらえました。マムは手作りのキャンドルを。ダディーはけのから手作りのパズル、ゆりからクッキーをもらいました。（ゆりはあげた後ずっと食べていい？とダディーに聞いていましたが）わたしは信ちゃんに手作りのパジャマを♡夜は家族でゲームしたり、キリストへの信仰を見いだすのデビオをみたりしてパーティーしました。子どもたち今年はたくさんクリスマスクッキーも焼いたし、アドベントの聖句も読んだし、なかなかクリスマスっぽいクリスマスになったかなと思います。まだまだクリスマスの精神を学ぶのにはほど遠いですが〜。 少しでも子どもたちにとって良い思い出として残るといいなあ。
This year, we parents got Christmas gifts too! Kids made a candle for me. Ken made a puzzle and Yuri made cookies for daddy. (Yuri kept saying to daddy, "Can I eat that?") I made night gown and pajama pants for him. It was fun. We played games and watched Finding Faith in Christ at night. Kids baked lots of Christmas cookies and gave away and read the scriptures especially about Jesus for 12 days before Christmas. I'm still looking for the way to build family tradition. Hope kids remember this Christmas as fun family time.

Keno 5 birthday!

感慨深い。。。おけの５歳です。アメリカでは誕生日にみんなにお菓子を配ります。ここではお菓子はダメなのでマフィンかフルーツサラダでお願いしますと言われているので、今年は両方。他の人のを参考にしながら毎年ちょっとずつ進化させています。。次元の低いところで。来月はゆりの誕生日でしかもけのと同じクラスなのでそれも視野に入れながら。毎年ドキドキする一大イベントです。わたしがクラス全体に差し入れするなんて！！と。。。。気を構えすぎでしょうね。今年は何か記憶に残ることを、と信ちゃんが考えてけのと一緒にお料理をすることにしました。買い物から一緒に。信ちゃんはけのの大好きなゼリーとガーリックブレッドを作ることにしました。ちなみにけのに誕生日は何食べたい？と聞いたらレタスとブロッコリって言ってたんですけどね！爆。けのもとっても喜んでいてよいお誕生日になりました。その夜はみんなでけのの赤ん坊のときの写真を見たりして。かわいかったな〜〜今もまだかわいいけどね。５歳はけのにとって特別な１年となりそうです。よいものとなりますように！
Ken is already 5!! I can't believe it!! Now he can read and write a little bit. I didn't teach at all, he is going so ahead. I brought mini muffin and fruit salad to preschool as it was suggested. This custom is not what I grew up with, so I have no idea how it should be done, but I'm learning and improving every year! This year I made banner and prepared cups. I already made one for Yuri since she is going to the same class as Ken next month. Ken requested mochi cake for his birthday cake. I made dinner. Shin thought it would be memorable to make his favorite food with Ken, which he thinks Jell-O and garlic bread. Well, when I asked Ken what his favorite food was, he said lettuce and broccoli though... He had a blast with cooking time with Daddy. He picked ingredients he wanted from store. It was such a good idea!! We looked at Ken's baby photos and felt old that night... It was a good birthday! Wish him the best year ahead!

Thanksgiving...

 今年も静かなサンクスギビングでした。お粗末な料理で恥ずかしいのですが。。。信ちゃんは仕事があったので家で子どもたちとサンクスギビングのクラフトでもしようと思ったんですけど、準備してなかったのでけのの希望で図書館で借りてた本のをすることに。そしてゆりのペイント、結構上手になったな〜芸術的です。けのの絵も味があっていい。そして今年はしっかりとブラックフライデーしました。さて、上の投稿と、けのとだいの着ている服が全く同じだ、とお気づきになったかもしれませんが。彼らは同じシャツを二枚ずつ持っています。そして、同じ日にそれを着ます。だいきが着ているのを見たらけのが同じシャツを必ず着るように気をつけているのです。兄弟愛ですね。
Quiet Thanksgiving as usual. Shin had a work, so we spent morning doing crafts. I wanted to do something related to thanksgiving, but ended up with ordinary ones. We had a good time anyways. Yuri loves painting and she is getting good at it. Can you see? You may have found Ken and Daiki wearing the same clothes in next post too. Well, they have a pair of those outfits and Ken makes sure that they wear those on the same day. Whenever Daiki wears it, he wears it too.

まずはだい初のへアカット！ちょっと悲しげになってますが、実際はいい感じです！あんまり髪が少ないのでちょっぴりしか切りませんでしたが、すっきりしてうれしい。そしてわたしの小さな夢、すべり台付きのベッドを買いました♪だいは見張ってないといけませんが、上ってそのまま滑り降りて、と楽しんでくれてます。ずっとこういうのがほしいな〜と思っていたのが中古サイトに出ていたときの喜びと言ったら！ちょっと思っていたよりも低かったけど、まあ安全でいいし寝ている様子がチェックしやすいのでよかった。この流れでいろいろものを片付けて模様替えもしました。家がすっきりして広くなったみたいに感じてウキウキしちゃいます。
My little boy got hair cut for the first time!! I cut his hair just little bit because his hair was long but he doesn't have so few that I felt bad to make it even fewer. He looks sad with this after-picture, but I think it went well and looks good now! And we got a loft bed with slide!! So exciting!! I've been thinking of this kind of bed for a long time. I thought I invented it, but apparently someone did before I did! When I found this on craigslist, I had to buy it. It's like my dream came true! Even Dai has a lot of fun with it under my supervision;) We are moving furniture around to make home better. This morning Shin surprised me with new arrangement!

Happy 1st Birthday Dai

だいが１歳になったんでした。おめでとう〜と歌うだけで済ませていたのですが、ベテランズデーで水曜日なんて中途半端な日がお休みになったので、誕生日パーティーをすることにしました。ついでに朝に信ちゃんから個人情報が漏れないように小さくちぎって捨ててと渡された紙を使ってピニャータも作ることに。ケーキを焼いて飾り付けてピニャータ作って、、としていたらもうくたくたになってしまって、ごちそうはなし！という意味不明なパーティーに。。。でも信ちゃんが子どもたちを連れてプレゼントを買ってきてくれました。カメラの電池がなくってケーキの写真はありませんが、おいしく焼けて満足！あとは職業選びっていうの？１歳の誕生日の定番をやってもらいました。そしてピニャータは子どもたちが大喜びしてくれて、一緒に作ってよかったな〜と思いました。ただ、いい紙を使ったから割れにくくって困りましたが。次は新聞紙だね〜成長の早いだいくんはもうトコトコ歩いてるし、コミュニケーションもとれるし誰より食べるし、毎日驚かせてくれます。性格も出てきて見ているのもおもしろくなってきました。この一年、また一緒に楽しい思い出を作っていきたいです。
Daiki turned 1 a week ago. I wasn't planning to do anything (such a bad mom!) but we were so bored on veterans day that we decided to have a party! I had tons of document that I had to cut into pieces to throw. That gave me idea to make a pinata! We decorated, made pinata and baked cake, then I was just tired. I couldn't do any more. So there was no feast but humble meal for evening. Shin and kids went to dollar store and got birthday gift and glow sticks. I don't have a picture of cake because battery of my camera died at the moment but cake was delicious! Dai blew a little bit. Banner started burning so I blew at the end. Dai proudly chose his future job as a scientist/accountant. Pinata was a quite success although it was too hard to break because I used nice paper. (Remember to use newspaper next time...) Ken loved it! He is talking about it over and over this morning. His birthday is coming up next...

Happy Halloween!!

教会のハロウィーンパーティーが終わった！！ということでなんだかハロウィンが終わったような気持ちになっています。今年はゲームはミニゴルフをしてトランクorトリートにも参加したのでなんだかがんばった気分。トランクは想像してた感じにできなくて残念でした。来年はもっとかっこよく飾ろう！と思います。今年はけのの希望でバットマンになりました。だいはロビン！（アニメ見たことないのでロビンが誰だか知らないんだけど、バットマンの助手みたいな感じなのかしら？）アメコミ好きじゃないし、、と思っていたんだけど、けのも喜ぶし手軽に売ってるのも買えるし（今年は作ったけど）これからは毎年スーパーヒーローになってもらおう！と思いました。信ちゃんはクラークケントになりました。結婚前は自分が仮装するなんて思いもよらなかったという信ちゃん、こんな日が来るなんて、、と震えていました。（楽しんでいたと思います！）そうそう、見て見て！だいが歩き始めました！！
We had our ward Halloween party last Saturday, so I feel like Halloween is already over. I prepared mini golf and decorated my trunk for trunk-or-treat (It was the first time for me. It didn't turn out as good as I imagined. I will do better next year for sure!!). This year, Ken wanted to be batman (I never show him the show, but). I had fun making these costumes. Daiki became Robin of course! I insisted Shin to be Clark Kent. He was amazed how far he came along since we got married! He had never done such a thing before that! I like this super hero theme, although I'm not a big fan of those cartoons. It was so easy. I think we'll be super heroes every Halloween from now on. Oh, look! Dai is walking now!!!
