Minneopa State Park

前に行くつもりだったミネオパ州立公園にやっと行ってきました。途中でミネソタ一大きな飴屋さんにも寄ってきました。(そういう名前)甘いものならなんでもありで店内のデコレーションも面白くて楽しかったです。子どもたちも飴を選べてホクホク。大輝はこの飴のバンドが気に入って一緒に写真を撮ってくれと言ってきました。州立公園ではバイソンについて学んだり滝まで歩きました。このトレイルがちょっと足場が怪しくてよじ登るようなところがあり、よじ登るの大好きな子どもたちにヒット。こういうトレイルをもっと探さないといけないな〜そして写真からお分かりになるでしょうか、岩肌全面に彫り込まれた文字！！こういうの見るとちょっとガッカリしてしまうのですが、でもなんだか苔生してこれはこれで一つの遺跡ができたみたいな雰囲気でした。アンコールワットみたいじゃない？！って言ったら信ちゃんに笑われましたけど。
Finally we made it to Minneopa State Park! On the way, we stopped by Minnesota’s Largest Candy Store. It is such a fun store. They have all kinds of candies and their interior presentation is so much fun. Daiki really liked the candy band. He asked me to take a picture with it. In the Park, we learned about bisons and did a little hike to the waterfall. This hike was perfect. Kids loved climbing up. I need to find trails more like this that we need to climb a little bit. And can you see all the curving s on the rock surface? I don’t think anyone should do that but those curvings kind of made new nature-art. It reminded me of World Heritage in Cambodia.. which made my husband laugh...

This summer 2018

もう夏が終わろうとしている！今年の夏はたくさん活動をしないでゆっくりしましたが、その分子どもたちはたくさん本を読んだり兄弟で仲良く遊びました。兄弟の仲がかなり良くなった！と思って何物にも替えがたいことと喜んでいます。ある日は子どもたち一日中パズルをして、ゆりは一人で300ピースを完成！あと4週間毎日水泳教室に行きました。なんと震えるほど寒い日もあり、病気の日もありでできない日もありましたが、水に潜れるようになり、上の子たちは1メートルくらい泳げるようになったかな。もうちょっとだね。でも前は顔も水につけられなかったので大進歩です。その他にはゆりは体操、けのはサッカーのクラスをコミュニティセンターでとり、毎週心待ちにしてました。もう全部終わったのであと2週間は何しようかな？アサヒはひっそりと一歳になり、周りの世界に興味を持ち始めました。毎日真剣にいろいろ調べていて本当にかわいいです。
 I can’t believe it! Summer is almost over! It was low-key summer. I didn’t do much, but I liked it. Kids read a lot of books and played together everyday. Their relationship got better. To me that is a priceless achievement. Y did 300 piece puzzle all by herself! K, Y and D had swimming lessons everyday for four weeks. They had to miss a couple of days for sickness but they did very well. Some days are shivering cold. Before lesson, they couldn’t put their faces in water but now they can go under water. Besides that, Y did gymnastics and K did soccer at community center. Both enjoyed. A turned one and started investigating the world around him. It is so cute to see him being curious and exploring.

Picnic

今年も会社のピクニックの時期になりました！みんなで楽しんできました。特筆すべきは子どもたちが馬に乗ったこと！去年だったら怖がっていたと思うので、みんなおおきくなったなーーと感慨深いものがあります。
It’s the time of the year again! We went to Daddy’s company picnic and had a great time. The remarkable moment is when all kids decided to ride a pony! I think Y and D would be scared to do last year. They loved it!

Day Out with Thomas

五年前にけののために行ったトーマスに会えるイベントがミネソタでもあることがわかり、トーマスラブの大輝のために行ってきました。すっごく楽しみにしていたのだけど、着いたら嬉しすぎて緊張した？喋れなくなってしまった大輝。この写真からも大輝の緊張ぶりがうかがえると思います。真剣に電車の模型を見たりトーマスに乗ってました。本当に電車が好きだね〜来れてよかったなーっと思いました。アサヒが将来トーマスにハマった時のためにちゃんとアサヒとトーマスの写真も忘れずに撮っておきました。
We went to the Day Out with Thomas for Daiki. Remember we went there for Ken five years ago? Daiki saw the picture of Ken with Thomas and said “I wanna go there.” He has been very faithful to Thomas for two years now. I really wanted to make it happen for him. He was really looking forward to it then when we got there, he was too excited to show any excitement! How interesting... he couldn’t speak. He barely nodded when we asked something. You can see his nervous face on the pictures.. but I can tell he had a good time. He enjoyed train ride and seeing all train models. I’m so glad that we made it. And I didn’t forget to take pictures for Asa too. Just in case he will also say “I wanna go there” then I’ll tell him “you were there too!”
