Grand Canyon National Park

春休みにグランドキャニオンとその周辺に行ってきました。見るものがたくさんあって、遊園地より楽しかったです。まずは初日はグランドキャニオン。やっぱり有名なだけあって、迫力の景色でした。深く深く刻まれた谷！そして子どもたちの登りたいという意欲を満たしてくれる大きな石の積み上げてある一角もあり、えいさが喜んでました。初めてのアリゾナだったけど、どこでも自由に登っていいというスタイル？で驚きました。どこにもロープなんてありません。右下の写真、見えるかな？人がいっぱいあの鋭い崖を下りて行っています。。わたしは怖くて見ていられなかったのでどこまでいったか知らないけど、信ちゃんとけのと大輝であそこをちょっと下りていきました。無事でよかった！もう人はいっぱいいたんだけど、公園自体は通常運営ではなく、バスや建物も開いてない感じでした。人が多くて外でもマスクだったので、日焼け止めを忘れた男の子たちはマスクの跡がくっきり残りました。
We went to Arizona for the first time. We had a blast. So many fun things to do there! On the first day, we visited Grand Canyon. The view was amazing. Canyon was much deeper and wider than I could imagine. There were rocks for kids to climb. Asa loved it (and he found real rocks to climb everywhere after this park too!)  We were kind of surprised at not seeing safety ropes. We could climb anywhere! Can you see people going down the cliff on the right corner photo? I was too scared to see with my own eyes but Shin took D and K to go down there a bit. I was so relieved when I saw them back. Oh my goodness. However the park wasn't fully open yet, there were so many people. We needed to wear masks even outside. Boys forgot to put sunscreen on and got sunburn to leave mask mark on their face.
