Ken’s birthday party

子沢山なので毎年一人一人のためにお誕生日会なんてやってあげられない！って事でこれまで一度もした事なかった友達を呼んでのお誕生日会、今年は８歳になったけののために最初で最後、しました！というのも、一年生の時は多くの親が学校に来てお祝いしていた誕生日も、二年生では誰も来なくなり誕生日会をするお友達もグッと減って、もうすぐ誰も誕生日会しなくなるんだろうなと察知したためです。みんなどこか別の場所でする人が多いのだけど、決めるのが遅かったのとけのが家でしたいということだったので家でレイザータグをすることに。５人だけ呼んでいいということにしたのだけど、５人とも来れると分かった時の喜びと言ったらやっぱり自分で誕生日会を計画してないとわからないですね。とっても良かったです。当日はわたしが他の子を連れて出かけて、信ちゃんがパーティーを担当してくれました。男の子たち喜んでくれたみたいで良かったです。けののお友達とっても良い子たちで感心してました。わたしも写真を見て喜びに浸っています。他の子たちにも８歳になったら誕生日会をしてあげると約束しました。

I don’t usually do birthday party with kids’ friends. Because I have four kids, I can’t afford to have big parties every year. I was raised that way too. However, suddenly I realized that kids soon lose interest in birthday party. Parents often came to class to celebrate birthday with kids when they were first grade but no parent came at second grade. K asked why I didn’t come at first grade. I wanted to hold just one birthday party for K to invite his friends. It was kind of late to book the place and K preferred to do it at home. I allowed him to invite five friends and we were blessed that everyone was able to make it! That made me so happy. Until I plan party by myself, I never knew how it feels like when invitees apply yes!! I prepared for lunch, ginger bread house decorating and laser tag. On the day, I took other kids and Shin took in charge of K’s party. It seemed like they had a lot of fun. Boys even surprised Shin with good manners. All of that makes me so happy! I promised D and Y to have the birthday party for them too when they turn 8.
