やっと畑をもらえたのでいそいで今週植え替えをしました。そしてとりあえず堆肥だけバラまいておいたのでそれを昨日の夕方きれいに掘り起こして畝を作り、今日家族で種まきをしました。公共の畑、いいんですけど、問題は、隣の人が何をしているか気になってしょうがないこと・・・うちは１ドルストアのスコップとじょうろで作業しているのに隣では立派な器具を持った人が大きな美しい苗を美しく作った畝に植え付けている・・・でも、彼らのやり方を見て、なるほど〜そうやるのね、と学んでます。初心者にはちょうどこれがいいのかな。しかし家から離れているけど素敵なところで、日当りはいいし小さな川が流れているのでそこから水を汲んでこれます。ケノもとっても楽しんでいたと思います。うちで育てた苗が既に枯れかかっているんだけど・・秋までに種がいくつか芽を出して作物が収穫できたら最高です。
We finally got a garden plot on Monday. We transplanted on Tuesday. I dug the rest of space yesterday evening and this morning like 5am. It was all ready to be sowed. (My transplants are dying so I had to do something too.) We planted some seeds today:) I feel good! Finally, but it is just a beginning. I wish they all survive and we can harvest some too. This garden plot is very nice. Lots of sun light and little stream nearby. After running out of water that we brought, we went down stream and got some more from there. The problem is... we get so competitive when we work on something next to other people. hahaha but true. The worst part is we're not gonna win. We are peeking what other people do in next plot and learning so much from them. I guess that is good for us like very beginners.
