Yes, I'm bored....

ゆりちゃんが生まれてこのかたドレスを着るとなぜだか写真を撮らねばという気持ちになるもので、ゆりちゃんがただドレス着て転がってる写真がいっぱいあるのでまとめてみました。は〜〜、暇なんだよね。。

I don't know why but I felt like I had to take a photo every time I dressed Yuri. So I have a bunch of pictures of Yuri just lying down. Since I was so bored today, I thought of putting together and post it.

Japanese BBQ with us

ここのところいい天気だし、バーベキューしたくってうずうずしていたんですが、お友達が誘ってくれたので念願の焼き鳥と焼き肉をさせてもらいました。炭火焼おいしい！とても贅沢な時間でした。

When I first came to US, I was a little disappointed at BBQ. Because my family's bbq is all about Yakitori and Yakiniku. Whenever we had a guest in summer, we'd grill outside. I miss it a lot. So, here we are, finally my wish came true! Thanks to Becca and Nate:)

最近とってもあったかいのでもう家の前にいくつかの種をまきました。そして、借りるはずの畑も今日から・・と思っていましたが、10日からでしかももしかしたらその日から肥料を入れ始めるのかと思うとずいぶん先になるので植物が待てないな、と思い、大きい容器に植え替えました。なんかもう、かわいくって仕方ないです♡ちなみにこのパンジー、大雪の冬を越えて生き延びました。すごい！

This amazing pansies survived through winter! I planted some seeds at the back of daffodils on Monday. Today I was expecting to start woking on our garden plot but found out that we have to wait till 10th and maybe longer. They are already too big to wait more, so I moved them into bigger pots.

4th Anniversary

Yap, it's our anniversary!! (I'm  gonna start making a new tradition of taking a picture with holding a photo from former year. Yes, it's found in pinterest:)) As I looked back, it seems short but feels like I've been always married my entire life. This year we had a lot going on but Shin has been very patient with me.

４年経ちました。あっという間だったけど、まるで人生は結婚後から始まったみたいにわたしのすべてになっています。特にこの１年はいろんなことがあったけど、忍耐強くしてくれた信ちゃんに感謝。そしてついに記念日の日だけのスクラップブックを作ることにしました。４年目にしてやっと伝統作りを始めつつあるわたし。。スクラップブックは手を出すまいと思っていたけど毎年３ページずつくらいだからいいかな？！ともあれ、

大好きな信ちゃん、今年もありがとう♡

sewing tuesday

Today Keno was sick and had no energy, so I decided to stay at home and work on my project! I finished Yuri's dress and 2 hats for her, 1 cap for Keno. Keno was delighted to be a model but Yuri was not. You can tell.

ケノが具合が悪くてぐったりしていたので家でソーイングをして過ごしました！この前のゆりちゃんのドレスを完成させて帽子を三つも作った！全部で布代３ドルくらいしかかかってなくて、これがわたしにとってソーイングの醍醐味。夏の準備ができました♡

my sewing machine has arrived!

お母さんが買ってくれたミシンが届いたので２日間ほどケノが寝た後、深夜までソーイングしてました。上の黒いパンツを参考に大きいサイズの不要品ジーンズをケノのためにリメイクしました。もう一つは太い赤ちゃん向けジーンズを細くしたもの。ケノくんノリノリでモデルになってくれました。笑。あとはこれまた大人の不要品Tシャツをゆりちゃんのドレスに。これはまだ完成してないんだけどかなりうまくいきました。型紙なしで成功したのは初。。なんにせよ子供服はあっという間にできあがるので楽しい。でも３日目以降は睡眠不足で家事をするのも辛いことに気づき、、やめました。今度ゆっくり裁縫ができるのはいつだろう。。。

My mom bought me a new sewing machine:D I was playing with it this week. After two nights of sacrifice, I realized that I was too tired to do my chore. I work full time as a home maker. My work is too hard without good rest. So, I've been not sewing since then, but I still have so many projects in my mind. Anyways, I made Keno's re-make pants and Yuri's dress. I like to make something for kids because they are so small that I can finish it in a day. Don't you think Keno is a pretty good model??

親バカ炸裂。我ながら写真を１枚１枚チェックして整理し終わってからほとんど同じショットが並んでいると気づく・・・かわいすぎて消去できない！！実物はさらにこの100倍もかわいいです。しかし、目がほんとマム、眉はほんと信ちゃんね。

信ちゃんの強い希望で突然思い立ってすごい遠出しました。都会だったな〜〜

やっぱりほどよい田舎に住んでいる今が好き！と実感しました。

でも桜も和食もとてもよかった。信ちゃんお疲れさまでした。

めずらしく有料のアプリ（２ドル）をインストールしたので遊んでみた。うむむ。。。

I just got a new app. 

After General Conference, I strongly felt that I have to be better at teaching my children the gospel, especially at doing Family Home Evening. I made a goal and thought how I can enjoy doing that. Then  came to the idea to blog about it. I like to blog, so it's all in Japanese but here it is.

きょうはなにする？

総大会の後、家庭の夕べをもっとちゃんとやらないと、と悔い改めました。ちなみに何度も失敗しているので今回はどうすれば、、と思い、そのためだけのブログを作りました。

何かいいアイディアがあったら教えてね。
