July 4th weekend

独立記念日で信ちゃんがお休みだったので、いろんなところに連れて行ってくれました。まずはフォートワースにあるストックヤードに行きました。テキサスの有名な長い角の牛がいたりして。けのが初めてポニーに乗ったり、自分でヤギに餌をあげたりして大きくなったなあと感慨深くなりました。次の日は遊園地に行ったんですが、そこでも一人で乗り物に乗ったりしてね。いろんなことができるようになって、どんどん一緒に楽しめるようになりました。ゆにはまだほとんどの乗り物が怖くってマムと水遊びしました。お母さんが来てくれて助けてくれているので、わたしも信ちゃんも余裕ができていろんな楽しいことができるようになって、本当にお母さんに感謝！この日も信ちゃんと二人で絶叫系の乗り物に乗れました。夜はこれまでで一番おいしいBBQリブ！！とテレビの花火。
We had a fun weekend with my mom. Shin took us to Stockyards in Fort Worth. They are famous with long horn cow and train. Ken rode on a pony and fed goats on his own. I'm amazed at his growth. He is a big boy now! The next day, we went to State Fair of Texas. He took a ride by himself as well. On the other hand, Yuri is still little and scared of doing those. That made me relieved. We played at water splash pad. My mom helped us so much that we are able to enjoy life more with less stress. We were able to ride a couple of screaming scary rides. At night, Shin grilled the best BBQ rib and we watched White House fire works at TV. That was genius.

life in tx

お久しぶりです。引っ越してきて１ヶ月経ちました。ゆっくりながら刻々と時間は過ぎており、けのはひらがなを全部書けるようになりました。２５０ピースのパズルも一人でできるように。ゆにはマムのトイレトレに対してストライキし、勝利。だいはつかまり立ちと離乳食を始めました。この子がかつてないお母さんっこだということが発覚。抱っこされるか泣いているか、という人生を送っています。近くに公園や水遊びできる場所もあり、図書館や市の施設もすばらしくって、ここで夏休みを過ごせるなんて祝福だな〜と思っています。
Hello! It's already a month since we came here. Things are going forward. Ken learned to write all 48 Hiragana letters and finished 250 piece puzzle all by himself. I failed to potty train Yuri and completely quit even trying. See how happy she is now? Dai started standing holding onto something and eating solid food. I found out that this little guy is very attached to his mom. Either I'm carrying him or he is crying. We love our new place! There's a nice yard and we can see cows sometimes. Playground and splash pad are nearby. City library is amazing! I'm glad to spend summer here!

My Panorama Photos

I learned how to take panorama photo by iPad. These were taken in Shenandoh National Park and Great Smokey Mountain National Park! Enjoy!

iPadでパノラマを撮れることを知り、国立公園で挑戦！！壮大な景色を見るといつも広角レンズほしくなるけど、これで広角レンズ要らずですね〜でもこれらの国立公園は正直日本で普通によく見る景色だったかな。

traveling to Texas

やっとテキサスに着きました。最後の数週間は荷造りして部屋を明け渡すためにとってもいそがしかったのですが、無事全部小さな倉庫に荷物を移して先週ロードトリップに出ました。５泊６日で長かったのでけのが病気になったりタイヤ屋さんに駆け込んだりもしましたが、無事安全にテキサスまで着けました。さらにビーチに行ったり、国立公園やホワイトハウスも見れて楽しかったです。夏の間は信ちゃんの仕事でテキサスにいます。新しい家は庭があって、うれしいです♡
Finally we arrived at Texas! We were busy with moving our belongings to storage. Once we were done with it, we were off to trip to Texas. It took 6 days. Ken got sick and we got very tired but we were blessed to travel safe and see different things! We had so much fun!

Yuri and Amazing Technicolor Coat!

I just wanted to show off Yuri's cardigan!! I got this from my friend. So CUTE!! Daiki is now trying to put everything in his mouth. He can't wait having solid food, I guess.
ゆにのセーター、友達にラテン系のお友達にわけてもらったんだけど、カラフルでかわいすぎる♡車はけののライフワーク。毎日車がいろんなところで並べられています。いろんな並べ方があっておもしろいのでたまに写真に収める。。だいはもう何でも口に入れたい症候群。離乳食の時期が近づいています。

Happy Easter!

だいがすでに１メートルも移動してます。早！こどもたち、だいのことが大好きでとても親切にしています。小さな手でぺたぺた顔を触らせてあげたり。だいは手を伸ばしてものを掴み始めました。いつも抱っこしていないと泣いちゃう甘えん坊なのでマムは常に８キロを超えるだいをぶらさげて歩いています。。手に余るとは感じていないんだけど、やっぱり毎日が慌ただしく過ぎていき、やるべきことがちゃんとできてなかったり。今年はイースターの活動を教会で計画してたんだけど、家でも何かするつもりが何もできなかった。まあ教会でキャンディーをいっぱいもらって子どもたちハッピーだったんでいいか。。。
Daiki can move forward a foot already! He is doing really well. Kids love Dai so much and they are very patient with him. They let him touch their faces and wait. He grabs stuff now. He is a snuggling baby. He wants to be carried all the time though he is over 17lbs… My back aches. It's ok, he is cute. I feel time flies and don't get much done everyday. I thought of doing Easter celebration at home besides church but I didn't do anything… They loved church egg hunt though. That was good.

Good Friday

遂にコートなしでお外に行けるようになりました♪春だ〜花はまだだけど！今日は朝歩いて半年以上ぶりのバスでおでかけ。ゆにがよく歩きました◎夕飯のあとはまだ明るかったので公園で遊ばせました。
It's Spring!! Finally we don't need coats any more! Feels so good!! We went out on bus this morning. I can't remember how long it's been since last time we used bus. Yuri walked very well. After dinner, it is still bright outside, so we went to playground.

passport photos

突然ですが、パスポートの申請をしておこうと思いたち、だいの写真を撮りました。こんなにたくさん撮ったのに、実は全部大きすぎてこの右上の一枚しか使い物にならず。消去するのも残念なので載せてみる。。ちなみにこれ、だいをわたしの足で挟んで立たせながら上半身を起こして撮るというすごい体勢で撮影してます。だい、足腰が強くなったね！
It does't mean that we are going abroad any time soon but it feels secure to have a passport! I decided to apply for one and took lots of pictures of Daiki. All pictures were too big for passport photo except the corner one. I couldn't just delete them because they are too cute!

Ken's Creations, Mom's Creations

外はようやく春めいてきました！冬、長かったな〜でもそのおかげで春が何倍もうれしい！冬の終わりのプロジェクトに転がっていた古着とはぎれのリメイクでゆにに服を何着か作りました。満足してるんだけど、ゆにはそれを着てポーズとるなんて粋なことしてくれないので残念。。けのはよくやってくれたのになあ！けのもどんどん絵が上手になってきて、楽しませてくれます。またアートコーナーの絵がいっぱいになりました。（ここに載せたあといつも捨てられる）けのが描いた、メリーさんの羊とクモの絵、わかるかな？自分で考えて絵が描けるようになったのがすごい！と思いました。
Long winter is coming to the end. We survived! Ken improved his drawing skill a lot over the winter. Now he can draw many different things. Can you find his Marry-and-Little-Lamb picture and Eensie-Weensie-Spider picture? He thought of drawing his favorite nursery rhyme all by himself! I was made Yuri's clothing to finish up all pieces of small fabric and old adult clothing. My project is done! I cleaned up most of fabric and had fun:) Too bad that Yuri is not willing to be my photo model. Remember? Ken used to do that for me.
