Summer 2025

この夏はほとんど個人的なプレイデートを計画してませんでしたが、なんだかあっという間に過ぎていきました！子どもたちが大きくなって自分でしたいことをするようになったというのもあるかもしれません。Kは毎日クロスカントリーのチームメートと一緒にそこここを走っていました。まだ中学生でしたが、秋から高校生ということで夏からすでに活動に加わってたようです。（ちなみに秋からは高校のレースにも参加するようになり、毎回タイムを縮めていくのを見るのが最高でした。夏からがんばっていたからだろう）Yは小学校を卒業したばかりですが、すでに秋からに備えて、6月は毎日、中学校でバンドの練習に行ってました。今やフルートを吹いています、すごく誇りを持っています。そして7月には若い女性のガールズキャンプがありました。ナント！4日間もありました。指導者たちが偉すぎる！もちろん最高だったみたいです。DとAは毎日プールに行きました。Dは初めは水に浮くこともできない感じでどうしたらいいのかと思いましたが、なんだか毎日プールに行っているうちに自分で25メートルも泳げるようになっていました。すごい！（せっかくなので秋になってからスイミングレッスンに行かせ始めました。）わたしは5月にパティオを完成させました！そして家庭菜園は大成功で、食べられないくらい採れました～。お友達にたくさんあげました。そしてプライマリーの活動リーダーになっていたので、定期的な活動を計画してました！めちゃくちゃ楽しかったです。
 I didn't plan playdate much this summer but it went so fast. I guess kids are big enough to entertain themselves now. K went running everyday with his cross country team. He decided to join in XC team at high school and he started to run with them already. (It was exciting to see how he shortened his time at every race in the fall! It all started in the summer.) Y graduated from elementary and decided to join in a band. She went to junior high school everyday for summer band in June. She plays the flute now. She is pretty proud of it! She also had her first girls camp with YW. It was 4days camp. I am amazed at how dedicated these YW leaders are. She absolutely had a wonderful time. I took D&A to pool for swimming. At first, D couldn't float. He was sinking. I didn't know how to teach but he went swimming everyday and somehow taught himself how to swim. By the end of summer, both of them were swimming 25m! Amazing. (I decided to make them swim even after summer and put them into swimming class at rec center in the fall.) I finished making patio in May and my garden rocked. I had so much harvest more than we could have. I shared tons with friends. I was a primary activity leader and regulary hosted fun activities for primary children at church. I loved doing it!!
